By accessing and using the www.durantbingo.org website and participating in gaming at Durant Square Bingo Hall, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

3. Gaming Rules and Policies

Valid Play Requirements

  • You must be physically present at your seat during all numbers being called
  • You must mark all called numbers on your card using a dauber
  • If you call "BINGO!" with an invalid pattern, your card is forfeited for that game
  • Caller's verification of winning patterns is final

Absence During Call

  • If your number is called and you are absent from your seat, the win is forfeited
  • You must claim prizes before leaving the facility
  • Unclaimed prizes are forfeited

3.2 Card Purchases and Buy-Ins

  • Cards must be purchased at the beginning of each session
  • Buy-in amounts vary by session
  • Cash only - no card payments accepted
  • All sales are final; no refunds for unused cards

3.3 Prize Rules

Prize Distribution

  • Prizes are paid immediately after verification
  • Payment is in cash only
  • You must provide valid identification to claim prizes
  • Prizes over $600 require federal tax documentation

Tax Responsibility

  • You are responsible for all federal and state taxes on winnings
  • Prizes of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS (Form W-2G)
  • We are not responsible for your personal tax obligations

4. Facility Conduct and Code of Conduct

4.1 Required Behavior

All players agree to:

  • Treat staff and other players with respect
  • Maintain quiet during number calls
  • Keep your play area clean and organized
  • Follow all facility rules and procedures
  • Comply with staff instructions
  • Report any suspicious activity to staff

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors will result in immediate removal and permanent ban:

  • Threatening, harassing, or assaulting staff or other players
  • Intoxication or use of drugs
  • Smoking inside the facility (designated outdoor area available)
  • Recording or photography without permission
  • Possession of weapons
  • Cheating or fraud attempts
  • Disruptive behavior or excessive noise
  • Sexual misconduct or harassment
  • Theft or property damage
  • Violation of house rules

6.2 Assumption of Risk

By participating in bingo gaming, you assume all risk associated with participation, loss of money wagered, and any disputes.

7. Dispute Resolution

7.1 Dispute Procedures

For disputes, the following process applies:

  1. Immediate Report: Report all disputes to staff immediately
  2. Investigation: Management will investigate the disputed claim
  3. Review: Video footage or records will be reviewed if necessary
  4. Decision: Management's decision is final

7.2 Caller Authority

The caller's decision regarding pattern validity and verification is final and binding.

Durant Square Bingo Hall operates under California gambling regulations including oversight by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and local Oakland gaming ordinances.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California.
